I am here to represent Project Phoenix, my name is Christine Renee Lopez, and I am 17 years old. I was born on May 4, 1983, born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I am currently living with my parents and two younger sisters. My parent's names are Marty and Ron Lopez. My mom was born in San Antonio and my father was born in Los Angeles, he moved to San Antonio when he was a young child. I am interested in creating, designing, and making things look better. I love to make up my own creations. I am interested in working with hands on material. Computers are my main interest. I like to try new things out with computer software. In my college CAD class the instructors always tell everyone to" mess with the Auto Cad software, you are the one that controls it." Those are words of advice to young students that are planning to look into CAD as a future career. I have specialty training with computers especially with CAD. I have had Intro. to Auto CAD in Highschool. Three college classes her at St. Phillips SWC. In addition, practice on my own time. During the summer of '98, I had a baby-sitting job. I love to be around young kids. I like to teach them and watch that glow in their eyes in their learning something new and interesting. When I am not working at my part time job, in college class as well as my basic academics in Highschool, and studying for college. I find time to spend with my family and friends. The newsletter here at Project Phoenix, has given me the opportunity to go on job shadows and small trips to companies of my choice to interview and tour their company. I get the chance to let others know in advance what the companies expect from Highschool and college graduates. After I graduate from Project Phoenix, I plan to attend a 4-year university, in the study of computer-aided-drafting. After I graduate from college, I plan to find a career in the area of CAD. In 10 years, I want to be seating at my own desk making big plans for some huge company. CAD is what I want for my future and that is definite. Thank you for your time!

Future Goals Before I start my career, I am going to a University for four years. For my future, I would love to be in my Architecture career by the time I get out of college. I want to be a partner of a firm. It does not have to be an architecture firm but somewhere in that field. When I go out in the world searching for a job, I will not settle for less than 60,000 starting pay. That may not be a lot then I get out but it is enough for starting right now in a firm. I hope to God that my number one dreams come true. My future is all I think about now that I am going to graduate for highschool. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about college and my future after college.
